Terms of Service

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using this website, booking a class, or purchasing any service from Bumps and Bainne.

By using this site, joining an online course, booking a workshop, or working with me in any way, you are agreeing to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site or services.

“Site” means this website and any online learning space hosted via Podia.
“Services” means all classes, workshops, online content, consults, and resources offered by Bumps and Bainne.
“I”, “me” and “my” refer to Bumps and Bainne / Aoife Lennon.

1. Who I am

Bumps and Bainne is run by Aoife Lennon, an IBCLC and perinatal educator based in Ireland. I offer antenatal education, lactation support, baby classes, movement and relaxation classes, and related online resources.

My services are designed to support, educate and empower – not to replace medical care.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By:

  • visiting or browsing this website

  • booking any class, workshop, course, or consultation

  • accessing any online resources or replays

you are confirming that you:

  • have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • agree to be bound by them

  • are legally able to do so (see eligibility below)

These terms sit alongside my Privacy Policy.

3. Eligibility

To use my services, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old; and

  • any information you provide about your health, pregnancy, birth, or baby is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

If you are booking on behalf of someone else (for example, a partner, friend, or family member), you confirm that you have their permission to share their details and make that booking.

4. Health, safety, and medical responsibility

Let’s be very clear:

  • My classes and content are educational and supportive, not medical treatment.

  • I do not diagnose, prescribe, or replace your midwife, GP, public health nurse, obstetrician, or paediatrician.

You agree that:

  • you will seek medical advice where appropriate and follow the guidance of your healthcare providers;

  • you will inform me of any relevant health conditions, pregnancy complications, mental health concerns, injuries, or postnatal issues before attending a class (especially movement-based or baby-wearing classes);

  • you understand that any movement, yoga-inspired practice, or babywearing activity is done at your own risk and you will listen to your body and your baby.

If at any point I feel a class or service is not suitable or safe for you without medical clearance, I reserve the right to recommend you speak with a healthcare provider before continuing.

5. Bookings, payments, and cancellations

Bookings & payment

  • Bookings are usually made online via my website, which is hosted on Podia, and payments are processed securely via Stripe or other approved payment processors.

  • Your place in a class or workshop is only confirmed once payment has been received.

Cancellations by you

You’re human and life happens – especially with babies involved. My general approach is:

  • Group classes/workshops: fees are usually non-refundable, but where possible I may:

    • offer to move you to a future date, or

    • provide access to online materials or recordings (if available).

  • 1:1 consultations: cancellations or rescheduling within a set time frame (for example, 24–48 hours) may be charged in full.

The exact cancellation terms for a specific class or service will be clearly stated at the time of booking. Please read them carefully before you pay.

Cancellations or changes by me

On rare occasions I may need to reschedule or cancel a class or consultation (for example, illness, low numbers, venue issues, or emergencies).
If that happens, I will:

  • offer an alternative date/time where possible, or

  • offer a refund if I cancel and no suitable alternative is available.

I am not responsible for any additional costs you may incur (e.g. travel, childcare).

6. Accounts and online access

Some services may require you to create a login or account via Podia or a similar platform. You agree to:

  • keep your login details private and secure

  • not share your login with others

  • notify me / the platform if you suspect unauthorised access

I reserve the right to suspend or remove access to online content if there is suspected misuse (for example, sharing paid materials widely).

7. Respectful behaviour

Bumps and Bainne is a space designed to be:

  • inclusive

  • respectful

  • free from discrimination, harassment, and hate

I reserve the right to remove anyone from a class, online group, or service (with or without refund, depending on the situation) if their behaviour is:

  • abusive

  • discriminatory

  • harassing

  • disruptive to others’ safety and wellbeing

No tolerance for misogyny, racism, homophobia, transphobia, or any other form of oppression.

8. Content, copyright, and how you can use my materials

All content created by Bumps and Bainne – including:

  • course materials

  • slides

  • PDFs and checklists

  • videos, audio, and recordings

  • written text, graphics, logos, and images

You may:

You may not:

  • share paid materials publicly

  • upload my content to another platform

  • copy, modify, or resell any content as your own

  • use my content for teaching or commercial purposes without written permission

If you’re unsure whether something is allowed, just ask.

9. Third-party services (Podia, Stripe, etc.)

My website and online courses are hosted on Podia, and payments are processed through Stripe or other secure payment processors.

By using the site or purchasing a service, you also agree to:

  • Podia’s terms and privacy policy

  • Stripe’s terms and privacy policy

These third parties are responsible for how they operate their own platforms and systems. I am not responsible for their downtime, errors, or changes, but I will always do my best to support you if there’s a tech hiccup.

10. Limitation of liability

Within what’s allowed by law:

  • I will always act with reasonable care and in line with my professional standards.

  • However, I am not liable for:

    • any indirect or consequential loss (e.g. loss of income, travel costs, missed work)

    • any outcome of your pregnancy, birth, feeding journey, or parenting experience

    • any injury or loss arising from information used against professional medical advice

You remain responsible for your own decisions around pregnancy, birth, feeding, and parenting, and for seeking appropriate medical support when needed.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

11. Changes to services and terms

I may occasionally:

  • update these Terms & Conditions

  • change, pause, or remove certain services or content

  • update prices

When I update these Terms, I’ll change the “Last updated” date below. Continuing to use the site or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Any disputes will be dealt with under Irish law and, where necessary, through the Irish courts.
