Your privacy matters — full stop. This policy explains how Bumps and Bainne collects, uses, and protects any personal information you share with me, whether you’re booking a class online, attending a workshop in person, or just browsing my website.
Because my site is hosted on Podia, some of your data (like payment details or cookies) is also processed by them. They have their own privacy policy, which you can read here. Payments are handled securely through Stripe, whose policy is here.
When you interact with Bumps and Bainne — online or in person — I may collect:
Your name, email address, and phone number (for bookings and contact)
Billing information and payment details (processed securely by Stripe — I never see your card number)
Details you share on class or workshop forms (for example: pregnancy stage, birth preferences, relevant health information, or baby’s age)
Notes from consultations or breastfeeding support sessions (kept strictly confidential and securely stored)
Any photos, feedback, or testimonials you’ve given clear consent to share
Basic website data such as cookies and analytics to help improve your browsing experience
All client forms and session notes are stored securely in line with GDPR and IBCLC professional standards.
I only use your information to support you and provide a safe, professional service. That includes:
Managing bookings, payments, and class communications
Preparing safely for in-person sessions or workshops
Following up after classes or consultations
Sending emails or newsletters you’ve subscribed to
Improving my services based on anonymised feedback or trends
You’ll never be added to a mailing list without consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
I do not sell or rent your information.
I only share necessary data with trusted third parties who help me run the business:
Podia, who host my website and course platform
Stripe, who handle payments securely
Email providers (for example, ConvertKit or Mailchimp, if used for newsletters)
Professional supervisors or mentors, only in anonymised case discussions for ongoing professional development — never with identifying details
All of these providers are GDPR-compliant and take your privacy seriously.
If you attend a class, workshop, or consultation in person, you’ll usually complete a brief form to share relevant details (such as health history, pregnancy stage, or baby’s age).
These forms are:
Stored securely (digitally encrypted or in locked physical storage)
Retained for the minimum period required under professional guidelines
Never shared without your explicit consent, except where required by law (for example, safeguarding concerns)
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
Request a copy of the personal data I hold about you
Ask for corrections or deletions
Withdraw consent at any time
Object to certain types of processing
Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (if you’re in Ireland)
To make a request, just email me at bumpsandbainne@gmail.com
Cookies help the website run smoothly (and remember your preferences). You can disable cookies in your browser if you prefer, though some features might not work perfectly without them.
I take your privacy seriously and use trusted systems to protect your data. That includes encryption, password protection, and limited access to personal files.
No system is 100% foolproof, but I do everything possible to keep your information safe and private.
Bumps and Bainne is aimed at adults and parents. I don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
If I ever update this Privacy Policy, I’ll post the new version here and include the date below.
