Pregnancy can feel exciting, emotional, overwhelming and full of noise all at once. Between social media, conflicting advice, hospital appointments and well-meaning horror stories from strangers in supermarket queues, many parents are left feeling anxious rather than prepared.
My antenatal classes are designed to change that.
At Bumps and Bainne, I provide private antenatal education and hypnobirthing classes for families across Louth, Monaghan, Cavan and Meath, including Dundalk, Drogheda, Navan, Monaghan Town and Cavan Town. Sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, allowing you and your birth partner to prepare for birth and early parenting in a relaxed, supportive and personalised environment.
These classes combine evidence-based antenatal education with practical preparation, realistic guidance and calm, supportive hypnobirthing techniques that help parents feel informed, confident and empowered heading into birth and the early days with their baby.
Private classes are tailored to your individual needs, preferences and birth goals. Whether you are preparing for your first baby, planning a VBAC, navigating an induction, preparing for a caesarean birth or simply wanting balanced, evidence-based information without fear or overwhelm, sessions are designed around what matters most to you.
Topics may include:
Stages of labour and birth
Birth preferences and informed decision making
Pain relief options and comfort measures
Hypnobirthing and relaxation techniques
Breathing for labour and birth
Partner support during labour
Induction and caesarean birth preparation
Feeding your baby and breastfeeding preparation
Newborn behaviour and the early postpartum period
Recovery after birth
What to expect in the first days and weeks with your baby
Classes are conversational, practical and judgement-free. There is space for questions, worries, fears and real-life discussion.
Relax Stretch Breathe classes are gentle weekly pregnancy classes designed to support both body and mind throughout pregnancy from 14 weeks onwards.
These sessions combine gentle movement, stretching, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and early antenatal education in a warm, body-positive, welcoming environment. The focus is not on performance or fitness, but on helping pregnant people slow down, reconnect with their bodies and feel more prepared for birth and early parenthood.
Classes support:
Relaxation during pregnancy
Breathing and body awareness
Preparation for labour and birth
Gentle movement and stretching
Confidence in pregnancy and birth
Emotional wellbeing and connection
Pregnancy asks a lot of people physically and emotionally. Sometimes the most radical thing in the world is simply being given space to pause, breathe and feel supported for an hour.
Private antenatal classes are available in your home across Louth, Monaghan, Cavan and Meath, with virtual antenatal education also available throughout Ireland.
Whether you are newly pregnant, approaching birth feeling anxious, or simply wanting trusted support as you prepare to welcome your baby, you are very welcome here.
